Audience Member Now I don't LOVE this movie, but it's dence. I am, however, sick of people saying it's a ripoff of A Quiet Place. This movie was in development way before, and I think if A Quiet Place didn't come out first it would have been more popular. Not to mention this is based on a book, too. It did make me actually upset at some parts, but the concept of these monsters is super cool. The plot doesn't seem to have a solid direction and the last 5 minutes of the movie attempts to sum up what the previous 85 failed to do. The cast is good, but the writing is lacking. If a movie is going to lean into the cult scene, it really needs to lean into it. This movie tries to be too many different things and fails at most. Ni siquiera las interpretaciones de actores con probada solidez pueden disimular la falta de originalidad y el trabajo poco inspirado detrás de la cámara. En lugar de aportar algo nuevo, se limita a ofrecer una versión deslucida de ideas mucho mejor ejecutadas en otras producciones.
